hello folks, (apologies if i end up going on a bit, but i want to mak
sure i give as much info as possible- the problem is driving m
nuts!!!)
the exact same problem is happening to me! there is some further info
can add. in my case at least, my sound card is prevented from workin
continually by this (the computer seems to "forget" that i have
soundcard, complete with driver!). the precise error is 'this devic
cannot start (code 10)' . i do the uninstall/ reinstall bit, and end u
right back at the beginning after a few reboots. the problem seemed t
start after i installed ntl broadband (cable modem) via the etherne
port (i have been unable to get my computer to recognise the modem vi
a USB connection). i have performed several system restores vi
Windows, and as many factory resets- all this seems to confirm is tha
i do not have a problem until i try to connect broadband. i have foun
out that there can be a conflict issue between certain soundcards an
ethernet connections, but i do not know if this is the problem in m
case- or what any potential solution may be. if it is of any help, m
computer is a Medion MID2030 notebook (2.66 Celeron).
i would appreciate any advice and help- i've tried the pc adviso
forum, but have had no response to my posts there :-
