My board does not have a Firewire port. But the USB ports are OK. My
requirements needed COM and LPT ports, plus only one PCI-E X16 graphics
slot. I needed more useable expansion slots and not two graphics card
slots. The whole system operates perfectly. Note it was a 'clean' install!
I would worry about upgrading from XP based upon various reports. Also, I
have had problems with external hardware working with Vista. Driver
problems from the manufacturers. Check your manufacturers web sites for
drivers. Vista does have a compatibility to XP option. Right click on the
EXE, select PROPERTIES, COMPATIBILITY, then select XP. You might get lucky.
