Hi all,

I got a VL800 desktop.
Here are the specs:
- MB: P2074-60003
- CPU: PIV 1.4 Ghz
- RAM: 2 original RDRam 128 MB
- HD: IBM 15 Gb
- Video: Sapphire Radeon 9000 ( http://www.sapphiretech.com/vga/9000.asp )
- Floppy

I got a problem when I try to boot...
First, I got a twealing sound with 2 beep. So I changed the Power Supply to
fix the problem.

But now, I got no nothing and it doesn't start.
The led in the front panel turns green when I switch on the computer, then,
after few seconds, it turns red and starts flashing. No beep, no sound is
emitted. Nothing appears on the screen, it stays off.
Technical doc says that it is a pre-boot or a POST error... but nothing more
!

Does someone know this problem or maybe can help me ?
Thanks in advance !

David

PS: Sorry for my poor english !

Normally for this unit, you'd expect a series of beep codes. It has a diagnostic "tweeter" on board. If you're sure it's two, and
just two beeps it's a bit of a puzzle,

Could it be one long beep, and then two short beeps? If so, check your video adapter.

Can't recall if there are two slots or four slots for memory. If four, are there continuity modules in them?

What happens when you pull out the video card and put the card that originally came in the unit back in?

Are you on the latest system BIOS?
Reset system BIOS with the new video card in it?

POST error, so you're right about that.
