Where'd FAX PRINT Go?

I have finally found reason to fax a document. Unfortunately, it
doesn't work.

I'm running a dual GHz QuickSilver under 10.2.3. Originally, I tried to
FAX using FAXstf version 10.1.0, but I couldn't get any addresses out of
the Address Book. I discovered that this was because of an update to
Address Book that made FAXstf 10.1.0 unable to obtain addresses.
SmithMicro updates to 10.1.2 (and subsequently to 10.1.3) and fixes this
problem, or so they claim. I installed them both in order.

One of the things that you have to do after installing 10.1.2 is to
remove the old FAXstf printer driver named "Apple Internal Modem" and
add the new one named "Fax Print". You do this with Print Center. Once
I removed "Apple Internal Modem", Print Center would not allow me to add
any other driver. Hitting the "Add" button did nothing.

I am now looking for help. Got any?

Brian

FAXStf is now at 10.1.3. You might try to repair the disk privileges
using the Disk Utility and/or the Print Center Repair utility (available
via VersionTracker). The Add printer button should bring up a dialog
box that includes FAXStf as one of the classes of printer that can be
selected.
