I just noticed that Intel just released BIOS update 1073 for this board on 04/26/06.
Is that the one you installed?
Depending on how old your original BIOS was when you installed XP, it's possible
that the SATA or RAID driver you installed at the time no longer works with the
new firmware installed with the latest BIOS.
I would just re-install XP, after going into BIOS setup and loading the default
BIOS values and saving them. If you're using the RAID feature, go to
http://support.intel.com and download the latest Intel RAID drivers, also
recently updated. Pay attention to whether your connectors are blue or black.
