You don't mention an OS, but from your "X-Newsreader:" header,
(MS-)Windows would probably be a reasonable guess. :-) If XP, then the
Device Manager should tell you:
Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager ->
Network adapters.
Open "Network adapters" by clicking on the "+" icon. In my case (HP
OmniBook vt6200) it says "Actiontec PRISM Wireless LAN PCI Card".
