won't start up

I turn on my laptop, lights come on, the famn start up and runs for
seconds then shuts off. That's all that happens. Doesn't boot up
nothing. Just a blank screen and Light for cd blinks. Tried to ejec
the cd and that won't even work

Even w/ the fan this sound almost like an overheat?

I'm having the same problem with my notebook. I get nothing but a black screen and HP is no help. Any suggestions??

Here here! Having the same problem. My uncle is looking at mine right now and I know he got it working but I don't know how. I will let you know when I can.

Thanks, please let me know what worked. I've tried removing the battery and putting it back (it's worked before) but I got nothing this time. I'm glad you got yours working!
