Hi there,
I'm trying to install version 3.0.4.205 of the driver for my Linksys
Network PC Card WPC11 on my pavilion laptop. When I install this
driver, my system locks (freeze) completely (mouse not responding,
clock stopping...). Then, when I remove the PCMCIA card, the computer
reboots, just like if I had pulled the plug out and in...
Version 1.x.x.x of the driver works great with my system, but I need
version 3 to support WPA. I'm running Windows XP sp1 and all fixes
and paches have been installed properly. People at Linksys say it's a
problem with IRQ on my laptop, and ask me to contact HP. As for them
(HP), there're completely clueless and all they could come up with was
to tell me to reset my bios to default values (which did not help).
By the way, my BIOS has been updated with the latest version.
If anybody has ever experienced this problem, I'd like to hear from
you.
Thanks,
Sam
