Hello,
I have a E520 that came with XP MCE. I need to do a clean install of XP
PRO. When booting the XP PRO from the CD it goes through the loading
process right to the STARTING WINDOWS and then gives me the BLUE SCREEN OF
DEATH. Any help?
Thanks,
Marshall

I'd format the c: drive prior to trying the install.

Just curious though. Why replace MCE with Pro? MCE IS Pro with minor
differences.

I'll bet you have the RAID enabled in the BIOS.

Xp Pro does not have the proper RAID drivers built in, so you're going to
have to download the proper RAID drivers to a floppy and install them during
the initial install process for XP Pro. You'll have to hit F6 when asked,
then supply the system with the proper drivers for the RAID.

Good catch. That's likely what it is. I keep thinking Dell XP disk, which
does, but retail/upgrade don't.
