Ok, so I just built a new computer.

    Here are the basics:
    Core2Duo E6550 2.33Ghz 1333fsb
    GIGABYTE GA-G31M-S2L
    2GB (2x1GB) G.Skill DDR2-800

I think that's all we need for this question.

I got the DDR2-800 mainly because the MoBo specs said that was the standard for it. So today I'm talking to my fellow IT guy at work and he tells me that I should have gotten DDR2-667 to match the 1333fsb, and then he rambled for a bit and I drifted off. Now I'm wondering if he was right about that. Would I see a performance boost with slower memory:eek: ??

Thanks a bunch for your input.
