I have a very olf TPI laptop that I just installed Win 98 on over Win 95.
Right now in device manager under PCMCIA socket there is listed 'Cirrus PCI
to PCMCIA bridge'. The laptop has a pcmcia modem card that is recognized as
soon as it is inserted. I tried to install my 3com megahertz LAN card on the
laptop. Went to add HW wizard, have disk etc. Afterwards I insert the card
and nothing. It's not recognized whatsoever by the laptop. The card is not
shown as existing in device manager. COuld it be that the BIOS is too old?
    Any ideas?
