This printer was working fine. I got a new computer and installed the\nlatest HP all in one drivers from the web, device was recognized and\ntest page was OK. I noticed it wouldn't print from windows applications.\nIt would start and just eject a blank page. The windows test page also\nresulted in a blank eject. The HP toolbox can talk to the printer and\n*it* prints the diagnostic page fine. Scan and copy from the panel works\nfine, and get this: there is a networked Linux printer and it prints out\nfine to the shared windows printer!\nIt is not a cable or hardware problem.\nI also have a networked Lexmark printer and lexmark software. There is a\nprinter on a lan switch (not attached to any computer) This printer\nworks fine.\nI tried the HP uninstall applet and reinstalled. I reverted to the\noriginal drivers from the CD that came with the printer. No luck.\nI installed HP 550c drivers from windows and this allows me to print.\nI am running up to date WIN XP home SP2.\n___________________________________________\nHow can a Linux box work as a SMB share but not the local printer?\nWhy does the 550C driver work, not the 166MB HP download?\nWhy does the HP toolbox test page work, but anything from a windows\napplication or the test page just turns up a blank?\nCould there be a conflict with Lexmark drivers?\nBefore I had both coexisting on an old computer running XP PRO.\n\nThanks for any help!
