6600gt PCIe or X700Pro PCIe?

Discussion in 'Nvidia' started by Rockin Ronnie, Nov 24, 2004.

  1. This is not cross-posted to ATI.

Just want to get some feedback from you folks particularly people who
have this card. I am a long time ATI fan but have seen side-by-side
comparisons which place the 6600GT faster than the X700Pro. I know that
they both have the same number of pipes but the Pro has 256 megs of DDR3
memory. The one I am looking at is the Leadtek Winfast 6600GT TDH.

Which one should I choose and would more memory make a difference?

Having more memory is really depend on what you planning to use it with. It
does not hurt to have more as long your wallet agree with you.
This also apply to other component like CPU / System Mem / Fastest VGA etc.
