Playing BF2 and the entire system went down. After digging for the truth I found the power cable to my processor was melted. After repairing the damage my CPU is now running at 180 degrees and XP won't boot due to the temp. My question is, if any can help, could my proccessor draw that much current by only running the bios (in other words is mt processor shot). Or could my P/S be shot and overloading my processor. Any past experience would be great. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
