I just setup a new system with Windows XP, an Asus A8N5X motherboard, and an Athlon64 3000. Randomly after booting windows, My Logitech USB Optical Wheel Mouse will not work after a windows boot. Usually this happens after a reboot vs a cold boot, but it randomly happens with a cold boot as well. If I go into Device Manager, USB is working fine, but i see a yellow exclamation next to the mouse. Properties show "The device failed to start". The mouse was working fine on my last system, and appears to be in working order. The optical light is on while booting, and goes off after windows boots.

Mouse is also randomly freezing in Windows XP during any medium disk access, and coming back 10-15 seconds later.
