Abit AG8 Bios Error + c1

Hello, I just installed a new fan for my cpu. After installation my pc makes a loud buzzing noise, and displays the "c1" error before shutting off completely, while still sounding the alarm. Could anyone please tell me how to fix this, and what the problem is. Thank you, any help would be much appreciated. p.s I already know that the c1 error deals with detecting memory, but i dont know what to do about it.
