ABIT IP35 Pro, RAM

I'm planning on building my own computer, and It is my first time attempting so. I'm thinking about the ABIT IP35 Pro MOBO because it will support the upcoming new Intels. It has good reviews for what I've heard. Only thing i'm lost on is what ram should I get? I want 2x2 GB ram but i'm not sure how to differ ram from ram. so any advice on what good ram to buy with it thank's=DD! :o
