I have an ABIT wb6 MB with a PCI Linksys LNE100 10/100 mhz NIC card currently installed and working fine. I want to upgrade NIC to Linksys EG1032 gigabit PCI 2.2, 32 bit card. The bios dosen't detect the EG1032 card. I am using the latest bios upgrade.
I have tried all three PCI slots and the NIC card is the only board installed. I am using Win 98SE. I know the EG1032 card works because I installed it in an ABIT TH7 raid MB with no problems. The manual for the WB6 MB says it is PCI 2.2 compliant. Linksys says if the bios can detect the LNE100 board then it should detect the EG1032 board. I wound up taking the EG1032 board out and putting the LNE100 board back in and it is running without problems. Can the bios be set up to manually detect the board?
