Acer Aspire 3100-3102 DC Jack

I purchased this laptop just a little over a year ago for my son for college, so it is out of original warranty, and with graduation and everything I just didn't get around to getting an extended warranty. The DC jack was broken and I am having trouble finding one to replace it. Tried lots of sites, but the ones on the sites aren't the correct one and since it is so new and not a lot were sold, the motherboard would have to be replaced. Some places have searched by the serial, they either don't have it or won't ship just one little part. Any suggestions or information?
