Im trying to setup windows XP home on my acer travelmate 280. It goes fine for the file copy for setup. The laptop copies all files necessary for setup then the laptop wants its first reboot. Uppon reboot the XP Home title screen comes up and the bar scrolls across. It goes to the next screen which turns blue with the mouse pointer on it and that is as far as it goes. I can get Windows 98 on the computer but there are no device drivers from acer for 98 on the website. They are all xp drivers. Anyone have any help so I can get XP going on this machine?
