advice please

well im asking alot here hope i could some help on this one 2 I got IC7-G and an serial ATA160 GB seagate disk i wonder what will be "smartest " for a good audio soloutin buying one moore and try this raid thing ( i dont understand how it works really) or by a raptor 10.000 rpm as a master and have the other for as a second disk? regards Tommy

What is your objective of building a RAID? redundency, performance, or both?

With one additional HD, you can build a mirror array for redundency you can build a strip array for performance If you want both, then you will need two new discs.

If you just need more space, just add it as a slave drive or second master drive. (no Raid)
