Airport extreme card with non-Apple base station?

    Hi. I'm pretty sure this is a yes, but want to be sure before making a
    stupid purchase. I have a Netgear DG824M wireless router (802.11b), and
    have been using it with an old PowerBook G3 using an orinoco card. But I
    now want to buy an iBook (933 MHz), which requires an Airport Extreme
    card for wireless connection.

    Will it work with the Netgear Router?

    Yes. AirPort works with most wireless networks

    I don't know, but as a datapoint, I've been using my iBook G4-800 at
    work (Linksys WAP), at home (Aironet WAP) and at a couple of color facilities
    we have equipment at (Lucent WAP).
