AK77 Plus - PC1600 only?

Got this in an untested bundle.

Haven't tried it yet, but I was shocked when I looked at the web-site specs to see it only takes PC1600 memory! But when I looked at the BIOS updates, it takes up to a XP2600! Saw no mention of allowing PC2700 or even PC2100, and didn't know you could even allow for this through the BIOS.

What gives?

The AK77 Plus is an Aopen board, not Abit.... And it will run PC2100, it uses the KT266 chipset.
