Armada M700 battery?

    I replaced my M700's battery after it died and the new one charges up to
    100% but will not power the laptop, and sometimes I have to remove the new
    battery to start the laptop. Battery has same part number as the old one but
    doesn't have a tiny strip in the opposite corner as the leads.
    Suggestions?
