I'm sure I posted this last night, but I can't see it, so I will post it again, sorry for the duplication if you can all see the previous post.

Andrew

Hi all,

I have an early AT7, and I am trying to clock it. I'm meeting with OK results so far, I can get the FSB to about 145 (thats memory running at ~
178) but not any further. I think that it is my PCI devices (have most of the onboard stuff turned on, +a sound blaster and a PCI GF2).

so here's the question - does my AT7 support a PCI divider of 5? From what I can gather the motherboard will automagically use the higher divider when the FSB gets to 166?? My chip can't manage that, and I was hoping if any one could confirm this for me before I deconstruct my PC to unlock the chip.

any one any experiance with this?? Its the only way I can think that reviewers managed to get this board with memory running at over 200MHz, but I could be wrong.

cheers,
Andrew

Well, I don't have an AT7, but the manual shows the ratio can be set to 3, 4, or 5. But you must use user defined speeds, not the defaults.

k, ta. Its just that playing with that setting in the bios seems to make no differance to my benchmark scores, so I'm not convinced it does anything??
