AT91RM9200:"malfunctioning USB device" on attaching custom board to PC (UDP)

Discussion in 'Embedded' started by Mayank Kaushik, Feb 4, 2005.

  1. Hi,

Im using a custom board based on the AT91RM9200. I wired up the USB
device port accoding to the diagram given in the microcontroller
manual. I used the BasicUSB program available on the ATmel website.

But when i plug the device in and send the program in thru
hyperterminal, WindowsXP complains that "A usb device attached to the
system has malfunctioned". It does not accept the driver that comes
    with the zip file.

What could be wrong? Also, are there any programs that could help me
monitor the USB port to see what messages are being passed through?
Tried googling for it, no luck.

    Thanx in anticipation

    Mayank
