I need to attach an 8mm external tape drive to a V240 and I'm wondering
if I can use one of the older tape drives I already have rather than
    buy a new one.

This is what I currently have:
    part# 599-2035-02: Sun 611, 8505XL, 8mm, 7/14GB SCSI External tape
    drive

I've been searching online for a cable that would work to attch this
tape drive to the server with no luck - but my searching could very
    well be off.

Any assistance or advice would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks!

I need to attach an 8mm external tape drive to a V240 and I'm wondering
Is the 599-2035 wide SCSI or narrow SCSI?

Assuming it's wide, then a HD68 to VHDCI cable should do the trick.
Sun sells them in several different lengths.
