AV8 Deluxe: Freeze or Pause at Full Screen Logo

    My computer starting doing this about a week ago. Turning it off for a few
    minutes would result in a normal boot and all was well software wise after
    that. Now I cannot get it to start at all, it just stops at the Bios Boot
    Screen. Pushing Del to get into the bios does not work but ctrl-alt-del
    will reboot the computer.

    Any ideas? First thing I am going to try is memory. Also I had a situation
    for a long time in which bios setting are not retained despite replacing the
    bios battery.

    It's too late now, but the first thing I would have done is turn off the
    full-screen logo. Then maybe you possibly could have gotten some idea
    what it was doing when it hung.

    Have you tried clearing CMOS?

    Hi, I think pressing tab will bring up the post messages on screen.....

    Yes, I took the battery out and unplugged the computer.

    For how long? You didn't use the clear CMOS jumper?

    No at the time I couldn't find the manual. I probably let it sit a few
    minues. I see someone else has the same problem a couple of posts up, see
    "Asus A8v not booting."
