Bad dates when importing mailboxes from Eudora to Mac Mail

Discussion in 'Apple' started by Mel Comisarow, May 30, 2005.

  1. I have used Eudora (now v 6.2.1) for many years. A Mac-literate friend
    told me he prefers Macintosh Mail over Eudora (which he used for many
    years). I decided to try Mail (v 1.3.9) on my DP 1.8 G5 running Mac OS
    10.3.8. When I imported my Eudora mailboxes into Mail, emails to me
    imported with the correct date, but emails from me imported with today's
    date, a fatal flaw since back-and-forth correspondence no longer is
    stored with sequential dates. Does anyone know of a
    cause/cure/work-around for this bad-imported-date problem? Thanks.

    You need this:
    <http://homepage.mac.com/aamann/files/EudoraMailboxCleaner.dmg>
    Worked for me (800K download or so).
