Hi,
I was using an Athlon 1000Mhz running stable with a FSB of 140MHz. This configuration has been very stable for about 20 month running day and night for decoding with tmpeg. To get more power for tmpeg I bought a XP 1800+ (Palomino) from ebay, but I didn't get this running stable with default Bios settings (No overclocking at all). Sandra or tmpeg failed after some hours, even I have improved cooling and used a more stable PowerSupply (old one did supply only 4,58/5V, 11,7/12V). Should I try another XP or should I buy a new MoBo for the XP 1800+? Any suggestions or comments are welcome.
