I've had my BP6 for a few years and try as I might I've never been able to get it to shut down from either Windows 98, 2000, or XP. I have to push and hold the power switch to get it to shut down ;-( I've tried everything I can think of in the BIOS. What's the trick?

Make sure you enable APM in the Control Panel->Power settings, if available.

Thanks for the info. I had already checked that. I did a clean install of XP on a empty hard disk and she finally shuts down now. Whoo hoo!!!
