Hi ! I think the board is bad , but maybe I missed something . Will not post , no beeps , nothing on screen . Abit bx6 R2 - new P3 1000 in Iwill slotket 2 -new ( also tried slot 1 Cel 300a I know works ) Leadtek G4 4400- new ( also tried Apollo Fire gpx 32mb ) 1 stick of pc133 256mb -new ( tried 3 other sticks ) WD 60 gb hd - new - on Ide 1 master ( didn't try any other ) Msi cdrw - new - on Ide 2 master Mitsumi dvd - new - on Ide 1 slave 3,5 floppy - new 500 watt ps- new ( tried 300 watt known working ) new fans and case I bought this board new and it sat in a dry warm room for a year or so and have put 3 systems together with this board and simular parts . This one will not boot at all , no beeps , no vid . Fans work , power & hd lights work , drives power up.
I tried : With and without cpu , 2 different cpu's , with/without vid card , 2 different cards , with/without drives , 2 different p.s.'s , with only 2 onboard fans ( cpu & 1 case ) , board out of case , swapped the bios chip from working board ( same type ) , 2 different monitors , with/without memory ( 4 different 256mb sticks , 2 IBM , 2 generic ) . Did I miss anything ? I checked for bad caps , ( had a Se6 with them Homie fixed ) , looked very closely for bad spots on board . Any ideas ? Thanks , Rick G.
