I have just come out of the dark into the light of the amazing opportunities
that tablets afford. I am close to purchasing a lightweight slate or hybrid
model (ie HP TC1100) for doing outdoor photography work in the field. I live
in Colorado so lightweight is more important than power for the field.
My question is this: I am so impressed w/ the opportunities in the tablet
OS I'm wondering if a WACOM tablet could be used to work in tablet OS with my
desktop. I am also very interested in more info on using photoshop with a
tablet or a desktop running tablet edition if anyone can provide links to
other professional photographers using them together. As i understand there
are some issues with WACOM drivers and the xp drivers but I figure i could
use seperate partitions for photoshop and other utilities. Clearly VISTA and
the next gen of photoshop should resolve some of the incompatabilities but
I'm ready to jump on the bandwagon NOW!!! Thanks

At this point in time, the answer is no. There is no place for you to
purchase the Windows XP Pro/Tablet PC Edition 2005 unless you're a developer
and have an MSDN subscription for development uses only. Vista may be able
to help you in this regard, if the writing pad you purchase is digital.
