Can my MoBo fry my graphics card?

Hey all, I have had two graphics card (FX 5200, Ti 4200) die on me in the
last few days. Seems like a bit of a coincidence, no? Board is a KT7A-RAID
(v1.3) which has been working fine so far. I have heard rumours about a
separate AGP supply which can go awry sometimes. Currently using a passive
FX 5200 which gets rather hot. That may be normal. Or is my board somehow
supplying too much voltage to the AGP slot? Is this nonsense? :p Or could
    this be a possibility...

    Thanks for any info,
    Cheers Mike
