i got a problem , strange isn t ?
here it is :
my config is :
athlon 2600 +
radeon 9200
DDR RAM PC2700 unbuffered one stick
one ide hdd
all went fine until yesterday
i just wanted to upgrade my memory with one 256 mb stick i had one stick in dimm3 added the other of the same type in dimm2 and the computer refuses to boot , beeping . then i removed it and all came back to normal so i tried it again in dimm2 and it didn t boot up again then removed it and this time all went wrong . now i just can t boot anymore , as soon as i turn on computer all i get is a one tone beep , it beeps during 2 seconds then no beep anymore just silence during 2 seconds then again and again ... nothing is displayed , the fans are turning while the beep cycle is going on .
so i heard this may be due to a video card or memory problem , ( tried to find more about sound codes at the abit sites but did not find anything ) so i checked the video card , memory with another board and all was good . so i cleared the cmos , removing all sources of energy even the cmos battery . yeah u got it , sadly it did not help . so i checked the cpu , guess what ? it s ok
hummm so i took the mobo out of the case and checked the connectors , power supply and... and ... and .... finally it s the same thing :
i just can t boot anymore and all i get is the one tone almost 2 seconds beep cycle , SIGH
any help would be greatly appreciated
