Are you sure the DIMMS are really good seated? I had the same with a mobo of a friend of mine. After I inserted the new DIMM the system goes beeeeep beeeep ... and the screen stayed black. After a while I noticed the mobo bended a little under the force from inserting the DIMM. Both outher sides of the DIMM correctly snapped in, but the center of the DIMM did not make good contact. I pushed with my thumb from the backside under the memory slot, and the center of the DIMM slided a bit further in the memory slot. No probs ever since.

Some mobos just need much force to insert the DIMM which can cause the mobo to bend.

Hope it is just as easy in your case.

Regards,

Mike.
