CMSS

    Posted in creative.products.sound_blaster.audigy but didnt get a response...


    I have a SB Audigy (OEM) with the latest drivers. I know a lot of people
    don't think much to CMSS, but I use it a lot. It works well with music and
    the Pro Logic mode on my speakers. My problem is that although I can toggle
    CMSS on and off in Playcentere, nothing actually happens. It used to work,
    I don't know for sure when it stopped but I suppose the new drivers is the
    obvious cause.
    Should I go back to older drivers or is this a known problem with a
    solution?

    I assume it is stuck in off-mode, or else I guess it would not be much of a
    problem. :)

    I can't see much else you can do other than try the older driver-set... Of
    course, a clean re-install of your operating system and then installing the
    new drivers right away might well make the cmss function work as intended...
    PCs are curious machines, and sometimes cursed. :)
