comparing 2.5G with 2 DIMMs (2 + 0.5) vs 2G (single DIMM)

    Hello.

Can anyone comment on whether it would be better to have a single 2G
    DIMM vs a 2.5G(2 + 0.5G configuration). I personally believe that
having a mirror configuration delivers the best performance as such
since the load is equally distributed plus the actual amount of
maximum memory that can be addressed in a bus cycle is much higher in
    a 2G vs a 0.5G module.

Please comment on this.It would be nice to understand this.

    Regards,
    Aijaz Baig.

I am not sure you can have a mixed config today with most
    BIOSes....
