    Hi,

Just switched on my main PC this morning only to find it will not boot up
and I get constant beeps and a blank screen. Monitor does not receive
signal, fan whirs and so on.

The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-7DX. I have tried taking out and reseating
the RAM and video card but just get the same result.

The system has worked for over 1 year with the same setup with no problems.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it the power supply gone or is it the
    motherboard gone?

    TIA, Steven

  2. Had the same problem with a new 8KNXP, and it turned out to be a bad stick
of ram. Might try with only one stick at a time..

    Yes,

I discovered it was not the RAM but the slot which had somehow been burned.
