Continuous Beep

    Built new Core 2 Duo system based on Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R. System
    acted flaky
    when installing WinXP, but did format the HD and copied files to the
    point where it needed
    to reboot to continue. Subsequently kept getting "input output error,
    press ctrl+alt+del to
    restart" in the BIOS. Now, continuous long beep and no display at all.

    I can't find meaning of continuous long beep in the manuals or on the
    net. Ideas as
    to what's wrong or how to diagnose appreciated ...
