Could not delete logical drive in StorEdge 3310

I want to delete the existing 2 logical drives in the 3310 and then delete the global spare
and create a new logical drive consisting of all the the drives in the array.

I have delete the host LUN mappings.
From "View and Edit Host luns", there are no more LUNS defined in there on any channel at all.
However, I am still unable to delete the logical drives. When I do so, the 3310 array menu interface says:

Host LUN Maps must first be deleted before deleting LD!

    Help!

Turns out you have to delete the partitions on the logical drive as well before you can delete the logical drive itself.
