CPU for KR7A

Hi,

I've been to the ABit Homepage as i want to upgrade my CPU for my KR7A motherboard.At the moment i have a 1500+ and want to upgrade to the latest processor i can. According to the ABit homepage the fastest processor i can get is a 1900+. Is this correct ?

Not true. I've got a AMD 2000+ working ok. I think there is/was some issue with Athlons greater then 2000. Check the FAQs/Forums (Fora?) a search on - http://www.ocworkbench.com/ocwb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum;f=7 may help.

Im using a XP 2400+(266 FSB,i think thay also have a 333 FSP for the 2400 dont use this 1)with a KR7A-133R motherboard and i have no problums at all.All i had to do was update my Bios.
My System Is:
ABIT KR7A-133R Motherboard BIOS Version CX
AMD ATHLON XP2400+ Processor
512MB PC2100 DDR RAM
Western Digital Caviar Special Edition 8M Cache-Ultra-ATA/100 40gig 7200 RPM Harddrive ABIT SILURO GeFORCE 4 Ti4600 AGP Video Card -Driver Version 31.40 SOUND BLASTER X-GAMER Sound Card 450w Enermax Power Supply WNDOWS 98 SE DirectX 8.1b
