I believe this is nothing but a bx440 board with a creative platinum blaster
chip integrated. The cmos was reset with the power cord plugged in numerous
times which caused the comp. to boot. Eventually the comp. would not boot
at all, just giving a series of long continuous beeps. I believe he fried
or corrupted his bios. Would like to try a rescue by pulling the bios chip
and inserting it into a like computer that is already booted and trying to
reflash it. My questions are 2. Can this be done? Will it work? And there
is a J17 that allows you to flash at 5 or 12 volts. Which would be
appropriate and work best? I know that is 3 Questions but and understanding
that I could get would boost my confidence level. I have flashed a bios
    only once. TIA
