As posted previously this is my first build I have managed to get a
master hdd working and a slave cd drive but every time I connect or
reconnect I get the 3 keyboards staying on locking the keyboard when i
clear the CMOS it runs fine until I make another change, is this right
or is there a problem with the BIOS? Also when it is running its
running like a milk float (technical term for slow) the Ram is chugging
away I can almost count the instructions it processing, I have 2 ddr
512 sticks 333 position correctly according to the manual in slots 1 3
green green. And to complete the whole experience I am now getting the
blue screen saying check all newly installed components windows is
doing a hex dump or something to that effect Processor fitted 3700 not
sure where to find make etc.

Remove one of the sticks of memory and test it using Mem Test 86.
    http://www.memtest86.com/ I just added a couple of 512 Kingston's to my
system over the holidays and my system became unstable just as yours. I
pulled the memory, ran the test from the bootable disc, and found one of the
new sticks had errors on the 6th pass. I took the memory back to the
retailer, reinstalled, retested, and all BSOD's have gone away. Seriously,
    check it out.

I also have two kingston in dual channel mode on platinum. it is not very
impressive. Tested with memtest86 in dos, at most it went to 1967 MB/s. Ln
windows, it went to 1551MB/s every test.Granted, it is the fastest ram i
have run, but not what was expected after the "facts" given about my setup.
I noticed you have rom setup as slave, is it on same ide as HD? I have never
run very long peacefully with that setup. Give atapi its own ide if ya
can.Hex dumping before win was most often bad AGP setting/seat for me, and
memory as well, timing etc.. Good Luck.

What are you using to measure memory bandwidth under Windows? Your
    memory speed is pitifully low.

    MSI K8N Neo2
    1 GB Corsair PC3200 XL
    A64 3500+

    Using Sisoft, I'm showing 5979 Float/5914 Integer
    Using PCMark with 8MB blocks I'm showing 6139.8 MB/s
    Using Cachemem with 32MB blocks I showing 3979.8 MB/s

    I used "perfomance test 6.0"
I'll try others, your numbers are what is supposed to be happening :)
    Sisoft shows sse2 mem bandwidth 3309int , 3302 float
    i guess 1551 * 4 is the dual channel
