Dell 2400 Epos system

Hi all, Some years ago I had an Epos system installed in my take away. It's basically an touchscreen monitor connected to a dell 2400. After many years of use the dell is well used and parts starting to fail. The software that the Epos is running is no longer available and cannot be copied. So only option left is to maybe buy a newish dell and replace hard drive and motherboard with mine. Is this possible and what dell is compatible Thanks
