Dell Dimension PC: Shutdown doesn't switch off CPU

    I have Dell Dimension PC, Windows 2000 OS.

    When I Shutdown the PC, Windows gets shutdown. However the PC doesn't get switched off, the Power LED remains on, fab etc working and monitor displays "It is now safe to turn off the Computer". After this sign, then I have to manually switch off the PC by pressing the Power switch.

    Any ideas what setting need to check to automate the switch with the Windows shutdown.
