Placed a slot 1 PIII 1ghz cpu with 133FSB into motherboard of only 100mhz FSB. It didn't work. Put original 400mhz/100FSB PII cpu back in. Unit still hangs before post/no messages or boot/green LED light stays on even when on/off switch is pushed. Could I have damaged the MB? CPU? Or is the system stuck in a mode? Could have hooking up the VGA port to a VHF cassette player video input via adapter have damaged the system? That may have ben the last thing I did before it stopped working.
