DELL Tech Support Closed--automated telephone recording

    At 5:30 AM on 10/08/04 I called DELL tech support to check the status
    of a service call and the feature was temporarily down, then I was
    redirected to DELL tech support and an automated recording came on
    saying that the tech support office was closed and then I was directed
    to go to their website. it appears that DELL has downsized its 'tech
    support' department and no longer provides 24/7 service to its
    unfortunate customers. Can anyone verify this?

    You were directed from Dell tech support to Dell tech support? Maybe they
    were in the middle of changeover from India to the US?
