Dell UK downloads not working?

    I have been trying to download upgrades from the Dell UK support site
    but all the downloads abort with the message: “An error occurred
    retrieving the release information”.

    I am not sure whether the problem lies with the site, or the settings on
    my browser/firewall. Is anyone else having this problem please? Thanks

    Try getting them from www.dell.com. That's where I get my Inspiron downloads
    from, even though I'm in the IK, as the US site is far better organised.

  3. both methods appear to be working for me. if http dosen't work then try
    ftp... and if neither work consider your possible firewall settings...
