Backstory - bought a e6400 xps 410 for dirt cheap off the outlet site. Figured I would just buy a new MB and overclock it at some point. But once I tore into the Dell case I actually liked the setup and wondered if I might be able to just get a bit more juice out of this MB's p965 chipset.

I am trying to decided if I should try to flash the p965 bios listed on the Intel site onto this dell motherboard. Dells come gimped with a lot of bios settings disabled, it sure would be nice to have a little bit more customization. But I am not 100% sure that this process wouldn't just kill the MB that is in the XPS (or if it would even unlock anything).

Anyone have any insight? Anyone tried this before?
